Opened in 1984, Museum Djamoe (Jamu) Njonja Meneer is the first museum to celebrate the ancient cultural heritage of Indonesian Jamu.
The museum building itself is in the style of traditional Jawa house, helping to carry visitors to the age of royalties in Jawa, when only kings and queens are allowed to use Jamu. Along with personal items of Njonja Meneer, visitors are introduced to the process of Jamu making obtained from various plants found in Indonesia.
